Google Art Project

February 4, 2011

Google has found a way to let us view museums with out even leaving the house.  The Art Project by Google uses the street view technology to collaborate with some of the world’s most acclaimed art museums such as The Museum of Modern Art, the Van Gogh Museum and the Palace of Versailles, to name a few. The project enables people to zoom in on more than a thousand pieces of art in high resolution and viewing notes offer information about the works.  In addition to virtually traveling through the galleries of over 17 museums, you can create your own “collection” of artworks that can be shared with your on-line followers.
