MetroShip Houseboat

This 48 ft long MetroShip houseboat was designed by Ballinger & Co. and was inspired by New York City loft spaces. The main goal of the project was to “let in a wash of light” which is a typical problem with houseboats. The project took over 7 years to design and develop. MetroShip is owned by GDM Ltd.—a company created by David Ballinger, a pioneer in the UK’s reality TV scene. In addition to the MetroShip, GDM Ltd. has designed projects such as MetroCabin, MetroPlay, and MetroShed.
