Rise & Shine: The Jay DeMerit Story follows Jay as he pursues his dream of playing professional soccer. His perseverance and constant struggles are rewarded when he not only plays in the English Premier League, but also starts in the 2010 World Cup. The movie itself is a success story as well—using Kickstarter, the filmmakers surpassed their original funding goal.
